Sustantum S.L. is a sustainability consulting firm founded in 2020 in Cartagena (Spain) with a mission to provide quality analyses and recommendations on sustainability issues.
The Team
Javier Blanco, Founder and Lead Sustainability Consultant
Javier Blanco is a Spanish specialist in sustainable development and environmental project management. Javier holds a master’s degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science (Lund University, Sweden) and bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and in Law (Complutense University, Spain).
Javier has over 10 years of experience in international organizations, NGOs, and private sector based in countries such as Colombia, Panama, Italy, Belgium, and Sweden. Javier has also an extensive experience working for United Nations (UNDP, FAO, UN Women) on sustainability and environmental governance in roles such as technical analyst, freelance consultant, and field officer.
María José Lozano, Programme Assistant
María José Lozano joined Sustantum in 2024 and coordinates administrative, operational, and financial issues at Sustantum’s international project office in Arévalo (Spain).
Victoria Verger, Junior Sustainability Analyst
Victoria joined Sustantum in 2024 and supports policy and data analysis, leads research efforts, and coordinates communications and events of Sustantum with clients and partners.
Victoria has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science (Miguel Hernández University, Spain) with experience in developing studies to enhance the accessibility in natural parks in Spain, and in research on environmental pollution in Denmark.
Sustantum also has a network of support consultants that provide their services as subject matter experts if required.
